Essentially the most influential expertise we had on our journey to Memphis this previous weekend would undoubtedly be our tour of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We were lucky enough to have the chance to visit and explore the place Tri Delta’s thousands and thousands of dollars have been invested over the previous several years, and we can honestly say that every penny counts and impacts the lives of the children and families battling cancer. From the ABC wall to the Tri Delta flooring within the Chili’s Care Center, each aspect of St. Jude conveys the love and passion of the mission founder Danny Thomas once needed to cure and beat childhood cancer. After a protracted day of touring the hospital, we had been anxiously awaiting the night time to unwind at the much-anticipated 'Tri Delta Celebration.' Nobody would really inform us what it was about, solely to wear a cocktail gown and attempt to get a very good seat at the entrance. We arrived on the Columns, an exquisite venue in downtown Memphis, and as soon as we entered we’re greeted with 'mocktails' and preceded to seek out ourselves a seat up entrance.

There was a DJ playing, a photo sales space and an elaborate menu displayed at each seat; it was so nicely put collectively. We sat with some pals we made from the Ole Miss chapter and denim dress bonded over the similarities and differences of how our respective chapters do things. All weekend we were lucky to get the prospect to be taught so much from different chapters to take again with us and share with our women. The celebration started with the CEO of ALSAC, Rick Shadyac, being the primary to inform us what no different Tri Delta had ever heard before--we had beaten our purpose of elevating $15 million in 5 years and did it in only 3.5! There was not a dry eye in the house as we watched the video made by many patients, docs, and St. Jude workers that we had met that weekend thanking us on our accomplishment. Everyone was in shock and the room was full of an electrifying energy, while concurrently blowing up social media. It was a blessing to have the ability to expertise that second and share it with so many different individuals that are working together for a typical cause. Everyone danced the evening away celebrating with one another and a few chocolate cheesecake (did anyone mention how good the food was?!). The next morning we all met for one last time for closing remarks and awards. To our shock our chapter's title was known as, and we have been awarded with the most 'Outstanding Fundraising Event.' Because of this out of the over one hundred fifty chapters represented from all 50 states, our Game Day occasion was the largest success. We could not have been more excited.



He likes to think and discuss and write about things like ghost or witches, however then he might be in a grocery store and pretend to be blinded by the yuckiness of all the things before him. You never actually know what is going to be in his thoughts. I imagine he tries to stay away from that type of stuff, but he's easily tempted with all of it. He likes to put in writing tales about ghosts which might be so so so so so so so so scary. I knew this was going to be a tough choice for him, and i wanted to make absolutely certain that he had the discussion with Jesus. When i first gave this selection to him, he immediately ran into his bedroom, grabbed his Spiderman suit and proceeded to jump up and down. The selection was already made, he was undoubtedly going to be in that parade this year.



He told me he simply didn't need to dress up like one thing yucky, like a ghost or witch. I instructed him that would be tremendous, so long as he requested Jesus what he thought. He got slightly quiet after that, and put the costume back in his room. I did not ask him for a couple of weeks about the decision. I waited till a few days earlier than the get together was set to happen, and asked Gabe if he'd remembered to have that conversation with Jesus but. It was early within the morning, and he was sitting on the table eating his breakfast. He stopped, turned his head one way, then turned it back the opposite, as if he was listening for something. He did this repeatedly, with a smile on his face, after which he started to nod his head up and down. I asked him if he had his answer. He was still very serious looking and mentioned, "Does Jesus discuss to you inside your head?" I advised him that, sure, that's how I at all times hear His voice, or generally I'd just feel His voice.
