Parliamentary committee urges council audits to assess costs<br><br>An audit of Council's costs will be launched, following the inquiry, by the independent body examining how council finances have been dealt with since 2009.<br><br>Council has provided information to committee and will co-operate with committee, chief executive Brian Moles, who gave its details to Councillor Dave King of District 7, yesterday.<br><br>A spokeswoman for the board said it will undertake the review.<br><br>"The council is pleased the committee has sought and received the full details. We have also made it clear to this committee, we have a need to look again at financial services," the spokeswoman said.<br><br>"Council will also look to ensure the review is conducted in a robust and responsible way," the council spokeswoman said.<br><br>"The committee has been working together on an independent review with a view to looking at the council's costs.<br><br>"The council wants to establish whether there were errors made in the way that money was spent. We haven't heard anything yet that is significant, we haven't received any questions from the public, so we are getting some input from other people," he said.<br><br>"That is going to help us determine whether there is a problem, it isn't that it is a big one but we need to look at whether there are a number of things that need to be changed.

Two seriously injured in car rollover crash in St. Charles, officials say

Two seriously injured people were transported to the hospital following a car rollover crash that struck several people Saturday night in St. Charles, 바카라 St. Louis County Police Chief Robert White said.

About 4:30 a.m., the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 6100 block of North Main Street struck an SUV traveling westbound on Main Street, then struck two people, according to White.

White said the victims were treated at the scene and released. One of the people was taken to Mercy Medical Center.

The other two were taken to an area hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.

Police did not release the names of the victims.

No charges have been filed in the crash, and police do not expect any injuries to be reported, White said.
