I was seriously impressed with the images I shot with the iPhone and there were many images that I couldn't tell whether they were taken with the phone or the professional camera. That's not something I'd imagine saying even a year ago.

Even if your water smells and tastes fine, harmful chemicals could be lurking inside. Water pollutants fall into different categories, but the main ones of concern in your shower water are toxic metals, chlorine (used as a disinfectant) and the byproducts that chlorine creates with other chemicals in the water.

Plastic is lightweight and durable, but can transfer tastes and odors to your beverage. Glass bottles are safer to drink from than plastic and don't hold onto flavors but they're fragile and not ideal for rough outdoor activities like backpacking. Metal water bottles and stainless steel are usually made with insulation and are the best at keeping your beverages cold, but they can be heavy and subject to dents and scratches.

The only major difference between the three? The Larq and the CrazyCap both have two modes, while the Mahaton only has one. If you plan on using your self-cleaning water bottle with outdoor sources of water, you may want to opt for the Larq or the CrazyCap since they have overdrive modes that kill even more micro-organisms. 

But there's been lots of particular chatter about the iPhone 11 Pro's potential to compete with professional-grade cameras (for video, too). The sweeping roads and dramatic mountains I was heading for were an ideal scene to test out the phone's new super-wide lens.

The CrazyCap bottle is more slender than the others on this list, which I liked. It fits into my car cup holders, as well as the mesh cup holders on my gym bag and backpack. It's a bit taller than the Larq and the Mahaton, so you might have trouble fitting it in the top rack of your dishwasher.

I didn't feel or see any particles like I did with the Lifestraw Go, but the taste alone was enough to make me wary of bringing this bottle into the backcountry.
