Man in serious condition after shooting at police on westbound Northgate Drive Saturday afternoon.<br><br>Officers were called to the 7500 block of Northgate Drive around 6 p.m. on reports of a man with a gun at the scene. A witness told officers that a man with a gun was trying to gain access to his apartment when a short distance away in the 7500 block of Northgate Drive. Police arrived at the scene, and found two adults shot and a man in a semi-automatic shotgun outside of the apartment.<br><br>Police said the suspect had "a handgun in a backpack and shot another man, who was then shot dead and the second man died of his injuries."<br><br>It was unclear whether the men had been shot before the shooting or whether a weapon had been involved.<br><br>Officers discovered the suspect's body at a house in the 7300 block of Northwest 20th Street about 15 minutes after the shooting.<br><br>Witnesses said they could hear the gunshot just before 3 p.m., and said the scene had just started to quiet.<br><br>A neighbor said: "I saw two kids, possibly boys, running to a home. Some of them looked so scared, I don't know if they heard the gunshots or maybe they heard something but I think it was just gunshots. It looked like someone was trying to get them, or someone had some sort of weapon but apparently it wasn't a gun.<br><br>"I see police cars out there, and then they disappear.
