These models are pretty busy this week at New York Fashion Week. Whilst they are styled to perfection by the professionals on the runway when they’re running between shows their off-duty style is just as strong. So feed your need for style inspo from some of the best off-duty model looks from NYFW… These girls know how to up their game when it comes to killer off-duty style… An oversized jumper over a miniskirt is a classic look, next dresses and Leomie Anderson is seriously making it work. Checks are always on trend, so pull out some Clueless vibes with your skirt choice. Giving us all the cold-weather feels, Lina Zhang kept things toasty with a faux-fur bomber jacket and cropped denim mom jeans. Pairing these laidback items with a white shirt kept the look on the perfect side of smart-casual. Nothing adds edge to an outfit like a bit of leather, so why not go head-to-toe like Sarah Brown for the ultimate cool-girl approach to off-duty dressing. Knee-high boots are the perfect style statement to finish off the look. If you like your outfits as dark as your soul, then look no further for inspiration than Noah Carlos, pulling off an all-black look to perfection. Chunky boots add an extra oomph to this look. Go ultra-feminine with a flowing skirt and standout pink coat. Finish the look with lace-up boots like Aymeline, to keep it from looking too Barbie (but obvs throw on your barely-theres for a glam night out option).

This week, we’re crushin’ on DJ, model and presenter, Snoochie Shy aka Cheyenne Davide. She started out blogging when she was just 18 and went onto bag her first presenting job for MTV (no biggie). Now, she’s got the breakfast spot on London’s Radar Radio from Monday to Wednesday, presents for VEVO and recently hosted YO! MTV Raps at XOYO with Poet’s Corner which saw the likes of Not3s, Big Shaq, Krept & Konan, Wretch 32 and Yxng Bane. Here’s what went down when we grabbed five… How did it all start for you? LOL it literally started with me making an outfit out of a bin bag sending it to RWD magazine and surprisingly managing to get a job as their fashion assistant. From there, I started producing and presenting an online music show, built up a presenter showreel out of that, sent it around and started picking up presenting jobs.

DJ’ing wise I love music so I just saved up bought some decks, practiced and here I am. It’s all been very random, but I love it! What does your typical day look like? It completely depends on the day, I always start off my day hosting my breakfast show on Radar, then I could be filming for Redbull or MTV, shooting a fashion campaign, DJ’ing in the night for a club or a fashion event. Today was good though, I filmed my first interview for the MOBO’s and that’s always been a goal of mine. Describe your sound in three words… What was your most memorable gig? It was definitely my headline shows in Hong Kong and Milan. I never expected that to happen at such an early time in my career (DJ wise) but it was honestly a dream come true and I had the best time ever. It’s great to be able to travel with work and be able to introduce the music I like to different people all over the world. What did you have on your playlist growing up?

The whole of Channel U was on my playlist back in the day. What’s the last song you listened to? Who’s the coolest person you’ve met? Aside from my mum it’s actually C Biz. I’ve been a huge fan of him for ages so when I got to interview him it was really good! I was so nervous, but he was such a safe guy! If you could collab with anyone who would it be and why? I’d love to collab with a fashion brand. Like I’d love to do Snoochie x Gucci. Or even design my own collection of trainers with Nike! What does the rest of 2017 have in store for you? YO MTV Raps!!! I wasn’t really around to watch it back in the day, mum hadn’t created me then lol, but I’ve watched it on YouTube and always wanted to host a show like that! So for it to come back and it to be in London and to be able to host it alongside my good friend Poet was literally like a dream come true! What advice would you give anyone wanting to get into music? Keep going. Don’t give up and also never compare yourself to anyone’s highlight reel online. Every bit of comparison you do takes away from you focusing on your life and your career. Just focus on you and keep going ‘cos you never know what’s around the corner. What’s meant for you will come.
