Disney even released a new trailer in January, displaying off that the film did certainly exist and was scheduled to hit theaters. Then the Coronavirus pandemic hit, shutting down theaters and prompting studios to maneuver their spring movies out of the way. The New Mutants misplaced its launch date, together with Mulan, and others. Its new release date in August seems to point that Disney thinks that people will probably be comfortable going again to theaters.
