The most lovely automobile ever made: the Jaguar E-sort is number one on our high ten classic cars of all time. "The most lovely car ever made" were the words of Enzo Ferrari and of course he was proper. Based on the D-Type, the thrice Le Mans winner between 1955 and 1957, the E-Type Jaguar was a gorgeous example of what British car producer Jaguar were able to back in the day. Sixties chic and faster than a Ferrari at a third of the value, it was the last word sports automotive of its time. The E-Type managed to remain in production till the mid seventies.
