Are you so future focused that you forget to look back at what you've done and give yourself an A for effort? It's important to know where you're going, but equally critical to know where you've been. One of the best ways to measure progress towards your goals is to write down important things you've tackled in the recent past.

We will never know how much it cost our business growth because we missed the seminars. However, if I had it to do over again, I still would have missed all the seminars to be able to watch my son play college football. They grow up so fast. At least I have those memories.

Organization. They need to understand how organizations work and how they can delegate tasks and responsibilities more effectively. Through this, they will also learn how to handle meetings, deal with difficult people and manage an organization effectively.

Don't' resist it, don't be intimidated, just learn as much as you can absorb in one area. You cannot be an expert in everything. Then find friends that know the other stuff and rely upon their expertise and help in those areas.

Great importance is given to Leadership Development. Leaders liberally practice trust and delegation. They choose the right persons forvarious tasks. In war they observe fairness. Fighting is suspended during night. Generals and soldiers fight against equals only.

Training should be designed so that you can enter the training process when it suits you, the trainee. Well designed and constructed training meets trainee needs. Trainees should be able to join and leave the training as it suits their needs, not locked into a process that puts the needs of the training provider as first priority.

Consider books, courses, audio programs all a part of your grander learning process. Commit to finding ways to practice what you are learning, and to finding ways to receive feedback (from yourself and/or others) about your progress.

Create templates. Emails, letters, forms and other documents that must be created or updated frequently can be systemized. For any new document, first review what already exists. Then copy, adapt and pull from previous efforts.

Be authentic. Your message must be not only interesting but also real. "Own" your message. Build the core of your presentation around the concept of filling a need. Demonstrate how your expertise will benefit your clients, then prove why you're the right match for that client.

Who are you? I have two students that received just about the same feedback from me. I went into their answers, and carefully dissected where they had gone wrong - gave them more direction and the opportunity to take another cut at the assignment.

Apply what you learn. It is never enough to just read, listen or participate in discussions. It is important for you to apply what you learn. Whenever you learn a new leadership skill, commit to implementing that skill daily until you become expert and proficient at it.

This is obvious stuff and most people who study marketing in depth, know it. However there are only a very small percentage of coaches, desi consultancies In california and entrepreneurs who implement it and define their Unique Selling Proposition so that they successfully connect with their target market.

For example, let's say you're an Instructional Design. You work with trainers to assess the effectiveness of their material. Did their audiences learn what they need to learn? Did you package your material effectively?

Let's take an example from my own domain. I work as an Instructional Design. My organization has induction programs for new joiners who have no prior ID experience. This program introduces them to the basics of ID- theories, the processes that we follow, basically all the "how tos" about the stuff that we do. We also have regular training that looks at our weak spots and hones the skills that we already have. So these are all formal learning methods. However, if we had left it to the individual to learn about, say, how to write a storyboard, till the time they were actually beginning a project, the project would be at risk.

For example, I have considered the possibility that I'll go into Instructional Design someday. I took a course in that in college, and it was a lot of fun. My college had a Master's Degree program for it, so if I want to do that in the future, I'll have to look at how I'd qualify for that program.
