One player responds with - "we're a family" and this is the point that shows Herb he has a solid team that is committed to each other. And after all isn't that what the community spirit is all about?

Organization. They need to understand how organizations work and how they can delegate tasks and responsibilities more effectively. Through this, they will also learn how to handle meetings, deal with difficult people and manage an organization effectively.

To get a hold of the teamwork concept and find ways to create teamwork where you work, you need go no further than your mailbox. Do I have your attention? Movies are one of the greatest ways to grow and develop. That's right movies, and I don't mean training movies although they do have a place in growth and development. I'm talking about the movies you can get from Blockbuster or Netflix.

Consider books, courses, audio programs all a part of your grander learning process. Commit to finding ways to practice what you are learning, and to finding ways to receive feedback (from yourself and/or others) about your progress.
Invest in your Leadership Development. Books, podcasts and teaching videos cost a lot. But consider them as an investment, in which you will reap the benefits of greater effectiveness and efficiency in your leadership. And when you become a better leader, you can certainly lead people to greater heights and better performance. Doesn't that deserve a salary raise?

Second, you must acknowledge the importance of trust. Without trust, everything takes much longer to do and to communicate and the results will always be less than satisfactory. When it comes to trust, the secret to earning people's trust is by trusting them. People follow the behaviors of others more than their words and so if you trust other people you are giving them the perfect example and incentive to trust you in return.

Keep in mind that a leader who dominates his team won't be a very effective leader. That's why most top students doesn't succeed in the same manner in the aspect of leading people. This implies that leadership isn't limited to very excellent individuals. Remember, leading doesn't require one to be super smart; you just need to learn to be a team player and also learn to strive for self-development. Leading people requires you to work hand in hand with the people under you. This is the leadership style that works best, but don't hesitate to adjust to a different style depending on the situation.

Great importance is given to Leadership Development. Leaders liberally practice trust and delegation. They choose the right persons forvarious tasks. In war they observe fairness. Fighting is suspended during night. Generals and soldiers fight against equals only.

Continually improve your education and skills. The world doesn't stand still, and neither can you. The only way to stay ahead in this fast-paced era is to learn something new every day.
