Nicole kidman on her transformation for new film 'Suicide Squad'


As with everything, it was going well when she was given the green light, but her career didn't take off in the way she expected.


Since debuting in 2011, Nicole Kidman has earned huge praise for her strong performances, but when she was asked to reveal how she felt about her breakout turn in Suicide Squad, the actress had little to say.

Instead, she revealed to Empire Magazine that it was nothing personal, but simply a matter of 'being in an awful movie'.

'I haven't enjoyed it,' she explained. 'I have a career. What I enjoy is making movies. I'm not in a studio. I don't have to feel like I have to be perfect on set, or be perfect in real life to be that.'


Kidman was certainly aware of the criticism surrounding her recent Oscar-winning performance as the character of Harley Quinn.

'It was a bad movie,' she said, 바카라 adding that she was given no specific advice from director David Ayer about how she should play her role.


She added: 'The movie's an artform. I've learned a lot from the process. I've changed. But it's a tough movie and I've got to do something different and I think Harley is kind of coming out of nowhere. Harley's coming out of nowhere to bring down the system.'

So now she's coming to terms with her own shortcomings, Kidman said that the only reason she hadn't won another Oscar before was 'because of my character,' adding: 'I know there have been other women, women of color 바카라 that have. So it just gives you a sense of the pressure.

'When they get an award, it's so flattering for the moment. But that's not my job. I do have to do something different, not just with this and that. I have to make my movie and I have to make it the best I can.'

As well as her big role, Kidman said that she feels she's finally been granted enough screen time to really do her thing.

'I've done two movies, one film directed by a female director and the other directed by an actor that I felt is better than what we had before,' she said. 'There are many movies out there that I could have made that are better. But I have had so much more to do and I have to make a change, so that I can do somethin
