4) Give the economy a chance to turn around - Things aren't going to get better immediately, so in the meantime, stop worrying about finding a new job. Stick with the one you have (no matter how bad it may be) and have your continuing education be your saving grace while you zone out during your next staff meeting. If you're not currently working, this could be a great time to focus entirely on school and potentially land an internship that can lead to a full-time offer before you graduate.

Now you have to picture Gomer Pyle suddenly interrupting this article and saying, "SURPRISE, SURPRISE" because a few days later, THAT consultant picked up her phone and called me to see if I wanted to host a show and get the stair basket at my home show. I agreed. And might I add, that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship between me and one of the best direct sales Clients training learning I've ever met.

Create templates. Emails, letters, forms and other documents that must be created or updated frequently can be systemized. For any new document, first review what already exists. Then copy, adapt and pull from previous efforts.

My passion is connecting people with information, ideas, opportunities and resources in order to see them grow from bright to brilliant . It's what I've been doing in some form in every major career milestone: as a teacher, trainer, Instructional Design, and now coach. And it is one of the things that make me an excellent coach and speaker: I love finding and sharing information. Where someone else may get bored or frustrated hunting down information, I relish the opportunity to find and share what I discover.

You have to find what people want and find a way to produce it for them, at the best possible exchange rate. Many intelligent types create products, entertainment, services. Many become Clients training learning, writers, etc. It's not difficult, but it can be hard work getting things going. If you are going to participate in the great paper-chase of compounded interest in a controlled game of human society, you must think outside the box.

Recession Slayer #3: Get Some Friends: Recession hits all business and those in your area, industry and outside are looking for help too. Now is a very good time to develop mutually beneficial partnerships. In simple terms you offer your products/services to another companies' customers and they do the same in return.

We will never know how much it cost our business growth because we missed the seminars. However, if I had it to do over again, I still would have missed all the seminars to be able to watch my son play college football. They grow up so fast. At least I have those memories.

My mind was inundated by a multitude of words I wanted to say to her, but that I did not utter: my parents had educated me well after all. I was thinking to myself: "Please don't keep my file and don't ever contact me again!" And "I am being realistic: you really have no idea of Clients training learning you're doing and how to match positions with candidates regardless of the recruiter title on your business card." Quietly, I stood up. She looked offended by my obvious declination of her offer. I did not care. I was not offended though: I was rather amused. I extended my hand, shook hers, thanked her and left.

Be authentic. Your message must be not only interesting but also real. "Own" your message. Build the core of your presentation around the concept of filling a need. Demonstrate how your expertise will benefit your clients, then prove why you're the right match for that client.

Killer No. 8: Consistency is the Game. So, whatever your information given, executives, managing directors, Clients training learning, etc. are all going to remember it. Moreover, they also have good memory when it comes to facts based from the past.

1) You must be committed to your dreams and goals. We are not talking about "fingers-crossed-wishing". We are talking that unshakable, gut level determination. If you don't have this, if you are just "hoping" this will work, don't even get started. No successful person starts a business on a whim, or with a mere fantasy.

The third reason for YOU to call customers is that you appear more successful when you do. Just reflect on the story I shared with you. If you HAD to place a bet right now regarding the success of all the Clients training learning I described, who would you bet on as being the most successful? You'd probably bet on the consultant that called me. When you call your customers, they see you as someone who's doing her job well and obviously has it together. If they ever become a consultant on your team, they'll feel confident that their recruiter is a leader!
Envision your bold enterprise. Visualize your venture and answer the question, "What will this do for me?" Write down in detail the payoff you desire - more money, more free time, more happiness or all three. Embellish your vision with sensory detail. See, hear, taste and feel it. The more real it is to you, the more you'll believe in your ability to make it happen.
