Many people don't realize just how important contract law is to our everyday lives. While most books may be available through other retailers, there will be a few that are only available at the University Bookstore. When you arrive at law school it's important that you have some smart wear that you can wear during your time at university. Carrying around casebooks is no joke (especially our abnormally heavy con-law casebook).
Themis Bar Review offers a free Law School Essentials program featuring comprehensive review materials, issue-specific lectures, and assessment questions to assist students in their first year of law school and beyond. An actual rolling case will give you room for all the books you need for each day (hopefully), plus your laptop, and a snack.
Among the best, especially early in the semester, are the Examples & Explanations (E&E) , Emanuel Law Outlines (ELO) and Http://youtubeloop.Net/ Casenote Legal Briefs series, all of which support learning the law and lawyering skills in different ways. From late June to early August, we are going to host inspirational presentations from some of the world's leading legal technology and operations experts on weekdays at noon U.S. Central Time (that's 7:00 p.m. CEST).
If you decide to form a study group, seek out other students who are well-prepared for class and have similar academic goals.
