In honour of the lead up to International Women’s Day, we caught up with each of our PLT Sorority girls to get their take on all things girl power, and what IWD means to them. Next up, we talk to Lidia to get her thoughts on why mums are the best and why taking risks is really good for you. What does International Women’s Day mean to you? I think it’s all about girl power! Embracing each other’s strengths, spreading body confidence and celebrating women as unique individuals who can accomplish whatever they want in life! Why do you think it’s so important girls in particular support each other? We are stronger together. It is so much more effective supporting each other and helping each other reach our goals. What inspires you/who’s your biggest inspiration? My mum, I think mothers as a whole are so so strong and put up with so much.

America's first female President, Sarah Palin, took office today, promising a new era for the USA in general and women in particular. Mom and sis seemed especially pleased about this. Dad was less so and went to the bar. Dad has really gone downhill since he lost his job and Mom became the wage earner. He is not coping well with having to do housework, which he says is women's work. Mom and sister Saskia came home from one of those Female Forwards Meetings. Following Palin's election, they had joined this woman only political party whose aims are to advance women in society once they gain power. Saskia had left one of their pamphlets lying around and I had a peek. What I saw worried me. The party aimed to secure control of the legislature within ten years and pass pro-female legislation to limit the male franchise to those males held university degrees.nissa.com Some colleges and universities would be barred to males entirely.

Like Mr Hill, the 50 year old was an experienced bushman who went on a trip with his brother-in-law in Victoria's rugged Alpine National Park on Mount Stirling and simply vanished. Mrs Hill said she was aware of Mr Prideaux and others who had appeared to have simply dropped-off the face of the earth. One theory was that Mr Prideaux's body was never found in the thick bush off the Buckland Spur Track because it had been consumed by wild animals. There are so many that have gone missing,' Mrs Hill said. Mrs Hill told Daily Mail Australia her husband was familiar with the terrain where he was believed to have gone missing. He knows the area,' she said. He used to work out there. Mr Hill had been a professional logger back in the day where he worked in some of the country's toughest bush. It's unbelievable actually,' Mrs Hill said of his disappearance. Police are also examining the possibility the pair disappeared of their own free will, while the scenario they met with foul play has not been ruled out. Mrs Hill reportedly had no idea her husband was with another woman when he went missing. She said her husband had been friendly with Ms Clay for decades but was unaware they were travelling together. While specialist detectives move to rule out foul play, Mrs Hill said she was coping as best as she could while being kept in isolation due to the COVID-19 crisis. Some days are better than others,' she said. Acting Sergeant Scott Wilkinson who was part of the team looking for the pair, said the search was substantial, but ultimately fruitless. We were searching every bit of bush and terrain in the immediate area,' he told Nine News. The subsequent search has got nothing in the way of evidence, no signs at all of the missing people.

Dad was wearing a designer dress that Mom had bought for him. Their relationship had, she said, greatly improved since Dad had accepted his new role as a trophy husband and homemaker and their love had been rekindled. Saskia wore her tuxedo. Football talent scouts had her earmarked for a career as a professional football player. I wore a pink frock and tiara and was allowed to wear matching high heels as I was the birthday boy. Mom had taught me how to walk in them. Mom was talking about me going to a secretarial college when I finished school as her firm could alway use good secretaries. A secretarial position was, Mom said, a good enough job for me until I married and became a full time husband and homemaker. I realised as I eyed my pink frock that I was happy to have been feminised and with the life that was now mine and that I did not miss my old life one bit, and, looking around at the females in suits and the males in dresses, happily eating and talking, I guessed that nobody else was unhappy with the new world that had been created.
