Professional Essentials introduces law students to core concepts surrounding development and interpersonal skills critical for career success. The office is responsible for enhancing quality of life for students through support of student groups, accommodations for disabilities, assistance with ethical issues, academic advising, counseling, securing Law School services, and publishing resources for students.

Students who wish to participate in a competing bar prep program after graduation must notify the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs by September 15 of their final year in school. In addition to the above, a number of aspiring solicitors often work as paralegals within law firms prior to starting their training to become a solicitor.

Semester-long strategies for learning how to "think like a lawyer" by getting the most out of reading opinions, attending classes, outlining, and preparing effectively for exams. There are many different legal skills books you can purchase, and these books will inform you about assessments essay writing and specifically how to interpret legal text.

Remember that it is not the course that will determine your success in Law School, it is passion, dedication and grit to learn the law. Christen also served as a student representative for LexisNexis and also as a mentor for several 1L students offering them advice and a variety of resources to help them through their law school journey.
