Union official taken off plane after alleged bomb threat

(AP) — A Turkish official was taken off a plane Wednesday after allegedly trying to carry a bomb on board, 바카라 Turkish media reported.

Anadolu Agency said the incident took place at the Istanbul airport in the eastern province of Gaziantep.

Turkey's foreign ministry said the state security chief had been taking the official on a helicopter from Istanbul to Istanbul and had landed safely.

Turkish authorities have struggled to contain the threat against the Islamic State group from militants inside Turkey. But some of its most recent attacks have been targeting civilians, 바카라 including at a Christmas market last month that killed 35 people.
